K.A.T.ZE, the children's equipment centre of the Sozialdienst katholischer Frauen e.V., opened at Seestraße 30 in 1991 as one of Schweinfurt's first second-hand shops for a good cause.
As a supplement to pregnancy counselling, the shop provides practical support for expectant mothers and young families. The K.A.T.ZE concept is simple: customers can bring second-hand goods in good condition such as children's clothing, pushchairs, car seats etc. to the K.A.T.ZE. The goods are resold there at a fixed price plus a commission. Volunteers organise the acceptance and sale of goods in two teams on Thursdays.
In the anniversary year 2011, Mrs Elisabeth Maskos, as regional chairwoman and chairwoman of the local association, thanked the employees for their many years of voluntary work together with Lord Mayor Sebastian Remelé. Many volunteers have been helping out since the organisation was founded. Mayor Remelé emphasised that the local authorities are dependent on voluntary work in this area of social support due to a lack of financial resources.
The General Terms and Conditions apply to our second-hand shop K.A.T.ZE.
