The loss of a child during pregnancy, around the time of birth or in the first year of life is a profound, devastating event. Many affected mothers and fathers feel left alone with their grief and pain.
Sternentreff aims to provide a safe space where parents can talk to each other – to people who have had similar experiences and know how difficult this journey can be.
The open discussion group is aimed at all parents who have lost a child far too early. Thoughts, memories and feelings can be shared in a safe environment. Comfort, understanding and mutual support are the focus.
An experienced bereavement counsellor accompanies the meetings.
