SkF Schweinfurt at the 2025 state conference of the SkF Bavaria in Würzburg

Society in transition – A social science perspective on change

At the beginning of May, SkF Schweinfurt took part in the state conference of the SkF Landesverband Bayern (SkF Bavarian Regional Association) at the Himmelspforten retreat centre in Würzburg. The conference was entitled "Society in Transition" and offered a wide range of expert insights into current social challenges.

Dr Laura Castiglioni from the German Youth Institute in Munich opened with a fascinating presentation on how social change affects women, men and families.
Prof. Dr. Anne Lenze presented key findings from the 10th Family Report published by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, with a focus on the living situations of single and separated parents.
Peter Ziegler, regional chairman of KAB Bavaria, discussed with participants whether expectations of the welfare state can still be met in the future.

For SkF Schweinfurt, the conference was an important opportunity for professional orientation and exchange with colleagues from all over Bavaria. We are taking away many ideas – both for our social work on the ground and for strategic considerations within the association.

A big thank you to SkF Würzburg for their warm hospitality on Monday evening and to SkF Landesverband Bayern for their excellent organisation!
