Catholic Women's Social Service elects new state executive committee
Astrid Paudtke steps into the spotlight and takes on responsibility as the new regional chairperson
At the delegates' meeting of the SkF Landesverband Bayern (SkF Bavarian Regional Association) on 6 May 2019 at Fürstenried Palace in Munich, Astrid Paudtke (49) was unanimously elected as the new regional chairwoman. "I am delighted by the delegates' great confidence in me and will continue the work of the previous executive committee with commitment."
She is no stranger to working at the state level: for four years, the fully qualified lawyer (specialising in association and constitutional law) served as deputy chair of the state executive committee and helped shape the association's direction.

Astrid Paudtke (SkF Munich) takes over the position from Elisabeth Maskos (SkF Schweinfurt), who was unable to stand for re-election after 12 years in accordance with the statutes.
The other members of the executive committee were also newly elected. The deputy chairperson is Alma Thoma, a member of the executive committee of SkF Nuremberg. With the three other members, Angela Altmiks (SkF Garmisch-Partenkirchen), Edeltraud Barth (SkF Würzburg) and Isabella La Cour (SkF Schweinfurt), the executive committee of the SkF regional association is now complete.
"More than ever, we need an autonomous association such as the SkF with its diverse range of activities in society and in the Church. We want to act as lobbyists to further develop the framework conditions for the work of local associations in Bavaria and set new priorities.

As the only SkF association at the state level, we are particularly keen to provide optimal support to each of our 16 local associations and to represent our common interests just as clearly to the church, politicians and society as we do the individual local interests, which naturally vary depending on size, orientation, structure and, last but not least, regional characteristics," said the new chairwoman in her welcoming address to the delegates.
