Christmas party for volunteers at Sozialdienst katholischer Frauen e.V. Schweinfurt – Recognition of their outstanding support in 2024

Schweinfurt. "Your commitment is an indispensable pillar of the work of the SkF, which aims to give hope and prospects to children, young people, women and families in difficult life situations." With these words, Klara Weigand, chairwoman of the Sozialdienst katholischer Frauen Schweinfurt e.V. (SkF), thanked the association's volunteers for their tireless efforts on behalf of the board at a Christmas party.

The SkF Schweinfurt had invited guests to a special Christmas party to honour the tremendous commitment of its volunteers. The festively decorated Antoniussaal hall at Caritas' Casa Vielfalt had been transformed into a place of gratitude and togetherness.

Numerous volunteers accepted the invitation and represented the diverse fields of activity of the SkF: from lunch and homework supervision at schools to the Ledward children's home and the second-hand shop for children's items "K.A.T.ZE" to the lay helpers Werneck, the economic advisory board and the volunteer board members. Each of them contributes with their work to making the lives of many people a little more dignified. Therefore, the focus of this celebration was on expressing sincere thanks to everyone who is involved with SkF Schweinfurt.

Johanna Glos, a musically gifted volunteer at SkF, set the right tone during the Christmas party. With a selection of traditional Christmas carols, she not only conjured up a festive atmosphere, but also encouraged the guests to sing along. A surprise guest received special applause: Father Christmas, who presented each guest with a lovingly chosen gift. This gesture of appreciation and gratitude reflects the strong bond within the SkF community.

Over coffee and cake, there was ample opportunity for stimulating conversation and warm camaraderie. In the warm atmosphere of the hall, the volunteers exchanged memories and experiences, reviewed the year and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere away from the pre-Christmas hustle and bustle.
